Interview with A’Ja Lyons about radical feminism & WDI USA’s Atlanta Convention

Join Thistle as she talks to A’Ja about radical feminism, her work and her recent trip to Atlanta for the WDI USA 2024 convention.

A’Ja Lyons is a multi-genre writer, 20th-century historian, teacher, performer, and radical materialist feminist. She was born in the warm waters of Texas’ Gulf Coast and naturalized in the Iowa cornfields. A’Ja’s work utilizes environmental imagination to communicate historical, physical, and emotional context. She is the 2024 intern for Tulsa’s Greenwood Rising Museum in partnership with the National Humanities Center. Her work has been published in several print and online publications including Sinister Wisdom, South Florida Poetry Journal, and Lucky Jefferson.
