KITCHENER, Ontario, June 26th, 2021 — WLRN member April Neault traveled to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, to join a dedicated group of women to protest the inevitable consequences of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government’s anti-female bills C-6 and C-16. These bills effectively made sex segregation impossible for female inmates.

Incarcerated women are now being harassed, threatened, bullied, assaulted, and even raped by men who “identify” as women. Enough is enough. We demand the removal of men from women’s prisons effective immediately.

This protest was organized by We The Females, Canadian Women’s Sex-Based Rights (caWsbar), and Heather Mason. Heather is a tireless advocate for the rights of incarcerated women.
